Luis Vives was one of the first students to study at the newly created Estudi General. The son of a family of Jewish converts, his father sent him to study in Paris to protect him from the climate of anti-Semitic intolerance that prevailed at the time. There he completed his training and taught at the most prestigious European universities. We will visit different areas that made up the old Jewish quarter where Vives lived the first years of his life. Although the Jewish imprint was erased from the city and no visible witnesses remain, this tour brings us closer to the humanist legacy of tolerance and respect that he left us in his writings.
